Worlds Apart

This non-fiction novel is the combined effort of a mother and her son who kept dual journals during the first year of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Its purpose is to highlight the struggles of a soldier in combat and the anxiety of those left behind. It's unclear when the authors will complete this book as it creates a hefty emotional toll on the writers, and they are forced to write it in small sections.
